      We live in League City and have been using Arvell Moore Air-Conditioning and Heating Service for over 15 years. Prior to moving to League City in 2002, we lived in Seabrook, where I used Arvell Moore for my annual A/C inspections, maintenance, and had them install an entire A/C and heating system to our home. Last year in April, my 9 year old son was diagnosed with severe allergies and asthma. Basically, all of the trees, plants, and grass in our yard created much discomfort for our son. The allergist said that we needed to get rid of the flooring in our home, limit his contact with our cat, incase his pillows and mattress in a special casing, and get rid of any fabric covered furniture. This whole situation was going to become very expensive, so my wife and I had to plan out how we were going to deal with all of this. My son was also on approximately 11 different medications to treat his allergies, asthma, and other medical conditions. He was under the care of 5 different doctors. Our house was built in 1988 and it appeared to have a considerable amount of dust particles, which brings me to the point of the message. I called my friends at Arvell Moore to come to the house and discuss some options to eliminate our dust problem and try to clean up the air inside the house. Doug Cucco, senior systems designer for Arvell Moore, came to the house to help us figure out what we could do. He brought an air sampling machine out to the house which has no form of calibration ability, so there is no way they can manipulate any values that the machine picks up. Basically, this machine takes a sample of the air particulates in a cubic foot, and relays the number back to the machine. The results were incredible. The upstairs number was around 1.7 million [particles]. Doug presented us with a brochure on a new system that his company was promoting. The system is called the Perfect 16 Air Purification System. Essentially, this system produces a positive pressure within the home or office, and uses a 3'x 3' HEPA filtration device, which eliminates the need for return vent filters. Arvell Moore was so concerned for the health and well being of my son that they insisted on installing this system immediately. The cost of the system was initially a major concern for us, and needing two of the systems really became a pressing issue. Bruce Cox, manager out of the La Porte office was willing to workout some details, which helped us with the installation of our new system. His staff is very professional and their customer service is impeccable. Both Bruce and Doug followed the entire job from start to finish, and did everything they promised, with absolutely no hidden costs. I highly recommend that anyone who has allergies, asthma, or issues with dust in their homes, call Arvell Moore today. The end result from the installation of the new air system is: the 1.7million reading dropped down to 30,000, and my son is no longer taking any steroids or inhalers for his asthma or allergies. I truly believe that through the Grace of God and the help from Arvell Moore, my family and my son are living in a much cleaner environment.
